Wiedenbach and Domino show innovative solutions for industrial product marking

Wiedenbach (Domino Industrial) will be exhibiting together with Domino from 4th to 8th April 2016, at the Wire show in Dusseldorf inHall 16, Stand 16D63. Innovative inkjet systems for high speed cable and optical fibre printing plus a station for pipe marking will be on display:

"Industrial Solution Print Bank (ISPB)" Marking station:

The Industrial Solution Print Bank will be marking black PE pipes with high contrast white ink. The ISPB combines a Wiedenbach CS 407 inkjet printer and a Domino F220i fiber laser.

The Quick Design software is used for print copy writing and print control – it can quickly and easily create labels, formats, and affects at any time for the Wiedenbach and Domino marking systems.

The A520i inkjet coder gives reliable performance at the lowest total cost of ownership.      The A520i continuous inkjet printer with the service free i-Tech ink system will be demonstrated printing onto PE cables with a durable black ink.

Built for high print speeds up to 1300m / min, the CS 405 inkjet printer is ideally suited for coding cables, pipes, profiles, switches and connectors with light pigmented and fast drying inks. The printer shown at the booth, combined with a rewinding unit, will demonstrate high speed ring marking on optical fibres with a black fast drying ink. A connected scanner can be used for the code selection. The printer's functions are, like all Wiedenbach printers, remotely accessible via the web-based "Command Control System" (CCS).

Visit us in Hall 16, Stand 16D63 and convince yourself of the possibilities offered by our system solutions for industrial product marking!

More enquiries than expected: Marking systems specialist Wiedenbach at productronica 2015

Wiedenbach presented together with Domino Deutschland at this year’s productronica trade fair a variation of different technologies. The valuable suggestions indicate that there are several tendencies: So the integration of marking systems into production lines, a comprehensive quality control of print quality by means of optical systems, smaller font sizes and higher printing speeds continue to gain in significance. The specialist visitors showed particularly great interest in the continuous marking station for PCBs and other electronic components, which was demonstrated at the exhibition booth. In the marking line several printing technologies are linked with each other. Further exhibits, which were presented by Wiedenbach and Domino Deutschland at its booth near the new exhibition area “Cables, Coils & Hybrids Cluster” were a remote control and maintenance system for industrially applied printers, a software for the creation of print texts and print control as well as CS 407 type inkjet printer. With this printer it was demonstrated that thin cables with a black PE sheath can be printed precisely and durably using a highly pigmented white ink developed in-house. With an overall from about 50 percent more enquiries than expected - with two thirds of them coming from the international sphere - we can count the fair as a full success.

Automated marking of PCBs and other electronic components.

Wiedenbach Apparatebau is showing together with Domino Deutschland at the productronica 2015 trade fair, hall B1, booth 547 a marking station in which several printing technologies are linked with each other. The ISPB combines an inkjet printer of the Wiedenbach CS series, a fibre laser type F220i and a label print dispenser of the Domino M series, in order that the different marking technologies can be optimally used. For automatic quality control, a camera system from Taymer can be integrated.

Further exhibits are a remote control and maintenance system for industrially applied printers and the „QuickDesign“ software for the creation of print texts and print control. Additionally, by means of a CS 407 type inkjet printer there will be shown that thin cables with a black PE sheath can be precisely and durably printed with a highly  pigmented white ink developed in-house.

Wiedenbach takes part in the “Wire & Cable India” trade fair in Mumbai

With an expected continuation of strong economic growth in industrial areas, India represents an interesting market for Wiedenbach. For this reason, Wiedenbach will present its innovations in inkjet technology on the main Indian trade fair for Cable & Wire. The customer requirements with regards to cable printing in this market tend towards smaller inscriptions on smaller and smaller cables, high transfer strength and good readability on dark cables by using high pigmented inks. Wiedenbach will demonstrate its outstanding competence yet again with these and many more topics in the field of wire marking. A total of 300 exhibitors from 25 countries expect more than 10,000 visitors at Wire & Cable India this year.

September 2014

Wiedenbach presents innovations at the “Wire China” trade fair in Shanghai.

Together with its Chinese partner Shanghai Fulling, Wiedenbach took part in the trade fair “Wire China 2014” from 24 to 27 September, the most important Cable & Wire Exhibition in Asia with more than 900 exhibitors. During the four trade fair days, the trade fair attracted more than 40,000 visitors and the Wiedenbach booth saw a very lively turnout. The trend towards ever smaller fonts on small cable diameters corresponded to Wiedenbach’s newly launched small character printer capable of printing the highest quality fonts down to 0.8mm. The wire printing with a high pigmented white ink adhering extremely well to plastic PE (polyethylene) was presented live as well. Rounding off the product range was the presentation of the newly introduced software solution “Command Control System”, with which one can remotely control the Wiedenbach printer series and even operate it intuitively via smartphone. The many conversations with existing customers and prospects, the great interest in the demonstrations and the high demand for the competence of the trade fair team underlined the successful participation in this trade fair.

August 2014

Wiedenbachs Cable & Wire Marking Conference (CWMC) exceeded participants’ expectations

The world's first international-level conference on the subject of cable & wire marking was conducted by Wiedenbach in early July and significantly exceeded the expectations of all parties. The event was held in a hotel located directly on Lake Constance, and was rounded off by a joint evening boat trip to a nearby restaurant. About 70 participants from 15 nations, including manufacturers of cable extruders, pre-treatment systems, camera surveillance systems for the quality control of cable markings and cable material manufacturers were extremely satisfied with the three-day program, as was revealed by the evaluation of the questionnaire survey of participants. The conference program consisted of 12 lectures on the subject of cable marking. Intensive discussions directly after the presentations helped many participants gain knowledge they considered useful for their own daily practice. Following the conference, reports – some of them several pages long – were published in leading trade magazines about this successful Wiedenbach event.

July 2014

Wiedenbach organizes the first international Cable & Wire Marking Conference (CWMC) on Lake Constance

Wiedenbach Apparatebau conducted the world’s first conference on marking and identifying wires and cables (CWMC, Cable & Wire Marking Conference) from 2 to 4 July 2014. The event was primarily addressed to the cable industry and cable processors and took place at the Hotel Höri on Lake Constance. Other topics included camera-based quality control as well as the limits of marking speed in the inkjet field. Case studies of practical applications, information about the global wire and cable market as well as trends and challenges in the automotive cable industry rounded off the program.

June 2014

Worldwide introduction of the Command Control System for all printer series

In June 2014, Wiedenbach presented its new Command Control System, a software application for remote control of one or more inkjet printers of the CS-series linked in a network. The software package newly added to the product range works via a simple Ethernet connection between any user device (PC, laptop, smartphone) and one or more inkjet printers and is characterized by a variety of options. For example, it is no longer necessary to carry out the operation of the printers directly in manufacturing, but one can rather perform the entering of texts, print codes, etc. in a quieter, low-interference environment (e.g. in work preparation). Besides an extremely short and simple commissioning, the system is easy to use, flexible in application, sturdy in design and equipped with a software that allows detailed analysis “With this new development, our customers get a complete cross-linking of their marking devices with the various existing production lines - centrally monitored and controlled from a single source. In addition, troubleshooting and searching can be carried out remotely via Wiedenbach support. This is a critical advantage”, says Daniel Klein, Product Manager at Wiedenbach.
