Special Applications

Center of excellence for automation of coding and marking solutions

Wiedenbach's special applications group acts as the center of excellence for designing and delivering automation solutions for all complex coding and marking needs. This dedicated team of specialists who are located in our German head office help to design, construct and install complex system solutions tailored to individual customer requirements. These experienced engineers are typically involved at the very early stages of a project to ensure solutions are designed for specific requirements. The team is able to integrate Wiedenbach inkjet printers as well as products from within the Domino Group, including laser systems from Sator Laser.

Wiedenbach’s special applications group has a long history of successfully installing numerous coding and marking solutions (both large and small) in a wide variety of industry sectors (electronics, steel, automotive, pharmaceutical etc.) and throughout much of the world (Europe, Asia and North America).

As well as more complex and unique solutions, the team has a number of ‘standard’ offerings available to address certain customer requirements. These include, for example, an off the shelf X, XY and XYZ traversing unit, a fault marking system linked to a series of high resolution cameras and high speed cable marking solutions.

Please contact the special applications team for more information.

Business Activities

Concept development

Our engineers work very closely with customers to develop tailor made system solutions which address customer’s needs and are appropriate for the customer’s production environment. Direct and open communication with our customers from the very start of a project is an important element for success.

Construction

State of the art CAD-systems and other design tools ensure that the mechanical and electrical construction of the systems are made in line with latest technical standards.

Project Management

Experienced project managers see the project through from concept design to installation. This ensures that no detail is missed and that the system works according to expectations.

System installation, test run and inspection

A team of experienced Wiedenbach engineers set up, start and test the system at our dedicated facilities in Moos, Germany. Tests and final inspection at our facilities is also often made with customers to reduce final installation time and therefore reduce production down time.

Installation at customer site

Wiedenbach’s skilled technicians then install systems at customer sites and run agreed tests with the customer. Operator training is also provided.
